Encinitas, CA― March 5, 2016-- Tower33 Digital, Encinitas’ award-winning digital marketing agency, ranked with big names this year at the San Diego chapter of the ADDY Awards. Since opening their doors just over a year ago, Tower33 has been recognized for their work across a few sectors in the marketing world. The ADDY award was the icing on the cake for a successful cap to the year.
Most recently known as the American Advertising Awards, the ADDYs are an opportunity for local Ad Club (AAF) competitors to enter their very own advertisements to the drawing board in hopes of being recognized. The ADDYs is the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition whose mission is to recognize and reward the creative spirit of excellence in the art of advertising. Collectively, more than 40,000 entries are attracted every year to the cause from all over the country. San Diego’s event was hosted by SDX, formerly known as the San Diego Ad Club.
SDX remains San Diego’s premier organization dedicated to providing education, advocacy, and networking opportunities to support the local advertising and marketing community as a local chapter of the American Advertising Federation.
With nomination categories in Print, Online, Sales, and Video advertising to name a few, the digital realm was where Tower33 focused their efforts. The first phase of a three-tier, national competition was won by Tower33 as they took home Gold for Online/Interactive work. Simply excited to be entered, Tower33 earned the highest rank in their category between Best of Show, Silver, and Gold winning opportunities. Selection of the most creative entry in each category is affected by a scoring process in which a panel of judges evaluates all creative dimensions of every entry. A Gold Addy is recognition of the highest level of creative excellence.
From here, the winners enter the second tier where they’re placed against other winners from 15 districts nationwide. Once these winners are announced, they move on to a narrowed-down, national nomination. Winners of the third tier are nationally recognized for that calendar year and years to come in the world of advertising.
The mission of the American Advertising Awards doesn’t just stop at awarding talent. It is synonymous with the company mantra of Tower33, “Do Good. Be Great.” Local and district affiliates of the ADDYs use the proceeds to enhance advertising through programs such as public service, internships, advocacy groups, advertising education, and consumer awareness.
Tower33 uses their resources and experience to assist local businesses in their marketing tactics through workshops, participation in public service programs like food drives and beach cleanups, and play host to internship programs. Taking strides to grow as both professionals and members of the community, Tower33 seems to be headed in the right direction.
